A Genuine Concern for the Clients

The Sobrietor is a breath-testing device placed in the defendant’s home, utilizing existing phone and power lines. Breath tests can be done on a scheduled, random, and/or on-demand basis. It is possible to sentence offenders who commit alcohol related crimes to sobriety with the Sobrietor.

  • Consistent, reliable alcohol testing using fuel cell technology
  • Adjustable voice verification for fewer false alerts
  • Simple and fast offender enrollment
  • Compatible with other Justice Services’ field equipment
Each client must submit to random urine screening to test for drug use. Any positive reading will be reported in an Incident Report and typically with permission of the referring agency, there will be a scheduled assessment with a substance abuse Case Manager for placement in a substance abuse group. Other levels of sanctions will be used with clients already attending substance abuse groups to address the issue of noncompliance. While in Justice Services’ treatment programs or Day Reporting Centers, failure to submit to a urinalysis test will be considered a positive drop. The referring agency will be notified of any positive test or failure to provide a urine test.

A basic screening includes testing for:
  • Alcohol (Levels)
  • Cocaine
  • Amphetamines
  • THC
  • Opiates
  • Barbiturates
  • Benzodiazepines (valium, librium)
  • Creatinine (Levels: 30 & vwloq)
